When folks say the old Holden factory in Adelaide, they usually mean the Elizabeth assembly plant about 25 km north of the CBD.
It’s along Philip Highway in Elizabeth South (SA 5112), where Commodores rolled out until the line stopped in October 2017.
If you meant the earlier site, that was the GMH Woodville plant on Port Road, west of the city—an older chapter in Holden’s story.
These days the Elizabeth site is being redeveloped as an industrial/business precinct, but the place still echoes with shift whistles and V8 dreams.
Head up toward Elizabeth and you’ll find it easily enough—just don’t expect fresh lion badges driving off the line.
