p1 passenger rules sa Page 2

Ah, the infamous P1 passenger rules in South Australia—a charming little set of restrictions designed to keep green drivers from turning every trip into a circus act. If you're a P1 (provisional 1) licence holder, you can only carry one passenger under 21 years of age unless they're immediate family. This means no convoy parties or impromptu youth rallies in your ride. The rule kicks in between 11 pm and 5 am to curb the dangerous late-night joyrides. Breaking these rules could cost you a fine and demerit points, because, apparently, learning to drive isn’t just about speed but also about discipline.
