In Victoria, P1 (red P) drivers must have a 0.00 BAC and display red P-plates front and rear—no excuses, not even for Grandma’s sherry trifle.

No mobile phone use at all: no hands-free, no Bluetooth, no touching it for maps—park if you must tap. You can carry only one peer passenger aged 16–21 at any time (immediate family excepted or with an exemption).
