p license qld Page 5

Chasing the P licence in QLD? In Queensland you step through P1 (red) then P2 (green) after your learner phase, provided you tick the time-and-test boxes.

You must display the correct P plates, keep a zero BAC, and play by tighter novice-driver rules (think phone use, passengers and high-powered cars) that can bite hard if ignored.

Keep your record clean and you progress to an open licence when eligible—no confetti cannons, but it does feel good. For the exact requirements, exemptions and any recent tweaks, check the Queensland Government guidance before you hit the road.
