p plate restrictions sa Page 2

Ah, South Australia’s P plate restrictions – because nothing says 'responsible driver' like a list of rules longer than your shopping receipt. If you’re brandishing those infamous red or green Ps, here’s what you need to know:

• Speed limits: P1 drivers must stick to 90 km/h, while P2s can hit 100 km/h.
• Passenger limits: P1 drivers can only carry one passenger under 21, unless supervised.
• Alcohol: Zero tolerance. Not a drop or you’re toast.
• Display: P plates must be clearly displayed front and rear.
• Driving hours: No restrictions on hours, but common sense is advised.
