p plate rules vic Page 2

Ah, the P plate rules in Victoria—because apparently, driving without constant restrictions is too much fun. Here's the skinny:

• Speed limits: P1 drivers (red plates) are limited to 90 km/h, P2 drivers (green plates) can push it to 100 km/h.
• Alcohol limits: Zero tolerance—yes, zero—for any blood alcohol content.
• Passenger restrictions: For P1 drivers under 21, only one passenger allowed between 11 pm and 5 am.
• Mobile phone use: Completely banned unless hands-free.
• Display: P plates must be displayed at front and rear.

These rules aim to keep the roads safe and the insurance premiums bearable. For the full legal spiel, consult VicRoads official documentation.
