Ah, Queensland P plates—your golden ticket to on-road freedom, but with a few strings attached. Once you pass your probationary licence test, you slap on the red 'P' plates for at least one year (known as P1). After that, you upgrade to green 'P' plates for a minimum of two years. You're restricted to a maximum speed of 90 km/h on P1 and 100 km/h on P2, among other restrictions like zero blood alcohol and certain passenger limits if you're under 25.

Keep in mind, Queensland's P-plate system is stricter than most, so play nice or face fines and demerit points. For the nitty-gritty, check the official Queensland government resources or swing by ServiceCentral for guidance.
