palisade elite vs highlander Page 21

Hyundai Palisade Elite vs Highlander is basically “great family bus” versus “great family bus with the posh bits.” Both share the same big, comfy cabin and engine choices in Australia; the Highlander simply piles on extra toys and nicer trimmings for extra coin.

• Lower price; outstanding value for families.
• Same roomy 7/8-seat layout and generous boot as the flagship.
• Choice of petrol or diesel with straightforward running costs.

• Misses luxury touches like premium leather, seat ventilation, and extra camera/safety tricks.

• Upscale cabin materials, extra driver aids, and comfort features (heated/ventilated front seats, etc.).
• Larger wheels and extra garnish if you like a bit of driveway theatre.

• Costs several thousand dollars more; bigger wheels can firm up the ride and the tyres aren’t cheap.

Resale favours clean service history more than trim name, so buy the best condition you can find; the kids will still argue in the back either way.
