pedders airbags review Page 3

Pedders airbag helper kits do exactly what it says on the tin: keep the tail from sagging when you load up or hitch a caravan, and restore a bit of composure to the rear end. They’re adjustable, so you can dial in pressure for the trip and let them down when you’re just ducking to Bunnings, which is rather civilised. Ride comfort improves under load, but crank them too high when unladen and it’ll thump like a tradie’s ute on steel springs. They’re not a licence to overload, nor a substitute for a proper GVM upgrade; treat them as a levelling aid, not a miracle cure. Expect kit pricing in the ballpark of AUD $400–$900, with fitted costs commonly landing around AUD $700–$1,400 depending on vehicle and plumbing. If you tow or tour, they’re a sensible, low-drama upgrade—just set pressures properly and check lines for leaks now and then.
