pedders gvm upgrade review Page 6

Pedders GVM upgrades do what they say on the tin: legally lift your vehicle’s allowable mass so the ute stops waddling under a tray full of life choices.

Expect a typical increase of around 300–600 kg depending on model, firmer springs and dampers, and compliance paperwork so you’re not flirting with the law.

Installed pricing usually lands around AUD 3,000–6,000 plus engineering/certification, and while GVM goes up, GCM/towing limits often don’t—check your state and the fine print.

Unladen ride can be stiffer, and you’ll still need appropriate tyres, brakes, and axle ratings; this isn’t a magic wand, just well-sorted hardware.

If you regularly carry heavy loads or bolt on half an accessory catalogue, it’s a smart, legit solution; if you’re mostly school runs, it’ll feel like wearing steel-caps to bed.
