Ah, the petrol-powered RC car—a cheeky twist on the usual electric zippers. These bad boys typically pack a 2-stroke or 4-stroke petrol engine, delivering a thrillingly realistic sound and longer run times compared to their battery-bound cousins.

Expect speeds around 40-80 km/h depending on the model, with fuel tanks that let you play longer without the dreaded recharge wait. Prices for new models can range from $300 to over $1000, while used ones lurk on Tradingpost or CarShowroom for much less if you fancy a gamble.

Perfect for petrol heads who want the roar without the commute. But beware—these require more maintenance and can be messier than electric models.
