picanto vs mg3 Page 7

Kia Picanto vs MG3 is a choice between tiny city ninja and bigger budget bruiser.

Picanto pros: ultra-compact size, low running costs, tidy handling, seven-year warranty; cons: modest power, smaller boot and rear seat, and it can feel breathless on the highway.

MG3 pros: more cabin and boot space and perkier everyday performance, usually sharp pricing; cons: older pre-2024 models skimp on advanced safety like AEB and can feel a bit rough around the edges.

Note the 2024 MG3 Hybrid adds proper safety tech and better economy, but it’s pricier and more complex than the simple Picanto formula.

Both are cheap to own, but the Picanto suits tight-city parking and learner budgets, while the MG3 leans practical and roomier for weekend runs.

Choose based on whether you want pure city-friendly simplicity (Picanto) or extra space and newer safety (MG3 Hybrid) without expecting fireworks from either.
