porsche cayman review

The Porsche Cayman is proof that putting the engine in the middle is like moving the sofa to the perfect spot—suddenly the whole room makes sense.

Steering feel is superb, chassis balance is razor-sharp, and even the base models are quick enough to reorganise your hairstyle.

The 718’s turbo flat-four is punchy if a bit businesslike; the 4.0-litre flat-six in GTS/GT4 trims sings like a choir of mildly furious angels.

Practicality? Two boots, sensible fuel use on a cruise, and a cabin that feels properly screwed together—though big wheels can make the ride terse.

Options pricing and servicing aren’t exactly Kmart, and the infotainment is fine rather than fabulous, but the driving experience makes the gripes vanish over the first corner.
