In Queensland, the “P’s test” means graduating from your Ls to a provisional licence via the practical Q‑SAFE driving test.
If you’re under 25 you’ll need a completed 100‑hour logbook (including night hours), plus you must pass the online Hazard Perception Test and then book the practical. Over 25s skip the logbook hours but still have to do the HPT and practical drive. Turn up with a roadworthy, insured car, your learner licence, and L‑plates on; if you drive like a koala on a double espresso, you’ll walk out with P plates instead. Check Transport and Main Roads for current requirements, as rules and booking lead times can change.
