Chomp - American Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 3 Years 4 Months 0 Weeks

Chomp is an active, goofy young man looking for a calm, mature household - adults only or one with teenagers or older. He can be a bit unsure of close handling so recommend always giving him the option to move away if he feels the need. He can also be worried when initially meeting people. Recommend visitors offer him treats and allow him to approach in his own time. He came into care quite worried and bonded quickly with his handlers through hand feeding sessions and walks outside. Once he is comfortable, Chomp can become goofy and bouncy! He gets super excited on walks and tends to become strong on lead so needs an owner who can match his strength and is prepared to teach him lead manners. He is a super smart boy who is keen to learn tricks. Chomp would benefit from being crate/mat trained to give him a calm 'chill out' area.
