Meet puppies and dogs aged 3 to 6 months for sale in Adelaide and across South Australia on Tradingpost, listed by private sellers and businesses right across Australia.
Take your time over a puppy. Ask to visit the litter where it has been raised, see each pup with its mother, and ask the seller about the breeder, the microchip and vaccination records, worming, and the age each pup is ready to leave its mother. A seller who welcomes questions, a visit and a follow-up call is worth waiting for.
Age changes everything about the first few months, from toilet training and vaccinations to how long a pup can be left alone. Ask the seller what has been done so far and what is still due. Each listing shows the seller's location and a way to get in touch, and most carry photos, so you can ask your questions before you travel.
Most of South Australia lives within a couple of hours of Adelaide, so a suburb filter usually puts you close enough to visit. Beyond the Eyre Peninsula and the Riverland the drives get long quickly.
Breeds Australian buyers look for most: Cavoodle, Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever, Groodle, French Bulldog, Border Collie, German Shepherd Dog and Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Also popular: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Labradoodle, Dachshund and Maltese. Or narrow by male and female, or pups under 3 months.
