qld hybrid car rebate Page 5

Queensland's hybrid car rebate is a tantalising carrot for eco-conscious drivers looking to save some green while going green. As of now, the state offers incentives to encourage the uptake of low-emission vehicles, including hybrids, but the details can be as slippery as a wet road. Typically, rebates could knock a few thousand AUD off your new hybrid car purchase, but the exact amount and eligibility criteria often change, so it's worth checking the latest from Queensland Government sources or ServiceCentral.

Used hybrid cars generally don’t qualify for rebates, which is a bummer if you’re hunting deals on Tradingpost or CarShowroom. Keep in mind, federal incentives might also play a role, so a thorough double-check won't hurt.

In short: dip your toes in the official Queensland Government site and cross-reference with ServiceCentral to avoid any nasty surprises.
