qld p plater rules

Ah, Queensland P-Platers, the proud recipients of the "I'm still learning" badge. The rules are pretty straightforward but designed to keep you and everyone else alive on the roads:

  • Speed limits: You must not exceed 90 km/h anywhere unless signs specify otherwise.
  • Passenger restrictions: If you're under 25, you can't carry more than one passenger under 21 between 11pm and 5am.
  • Alcohol limit: Zero blood alcohol content. Nada. Zip.
  • Display: You must have the green P-plates clearly visible on the front and rear of your car.

These rules are part of the Queensland Graduated Licensing Scheme, so if you want to dodge fines and points, best stick to them. For the full nitty-gritty, check out the official Queensland Department of Transport resources or ServiceCentral.
