There’s no such thing as a QLD pink slip—that’s New South Wales; in Queensland it’s a Safety Certificate (roadworthy).
You need a current one before advertising a registered light vehicle for sale, and for transferring or re-registering in QLD. It’s issued by approved inspection stations after checks on brakes, tyres, lights and steering. For private sellers it’s typically valid for 2 months or 2,000 km; dealers get 3 months or 1,000 km.
Display it on the vehicle when selling, and keep it handy for your listing on places like Tradingpost. Call it a pink slip up here and the mechanic will smile politely, then hand you the right paperwork anyway.
