qld road fines Page 184

Queensland road fines come with demerit points that can snowball into a licence suspension if you keep treating speed limits as polite suggestions. Amounts vary by offence—speeding, phones, seatbelts, red lights—and camera notices go to the registered owner, who can nominate the actual driver. You can pay by the due date online, by phone or BPAY, or ask SPER for an instalment plan if the wallet’s feeling faint. Ignore it and SPER can tack on fees and even suspend your licence until you sort it out. Want to contest it? Elect to go to court and bring evidence, not just vibes.
