qld roadworthy certificate Page 9

Ah, the Queensland roadworthy certificate, colloquially known as the safety certificate. This little piece of paper is your golden ticket to legally selling or transferring a vehicle in QLD. It certifies that your car meets minimum safety standards, focusing on brakes, tyres, lights, steering, and suspension. You can snag one from an authorised inspection station or mechanic, typically costing between $40 and $60 AUD. Remember, it’s only valid for 1 to 2 months, so don’t dawdle if you’re planning to sell. For the nitty-gritty details and official rules, check out the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads website or pop by ServiceCentral.
