quadricycle

Ah, the quadricycle—essentially a bicycle with four wheels, but don't be fooled by the innocent look. These quirky contraptions are usually lightweight, pedal-powered or electric-assisted, and designed for short, eco-friendly jaunts. They often boast four wheels, a low top speed typically under 45 km/h, and a compact frame perfect for urban environments. Prices can vary wildly depending on whether you're going for a basic pedal model or a zippy electric one, with new units ranging from about $1,500 to $10,000 AUD. Used ones crop up occasionally on Tradingpost or CarShowroom, often at a steal if you don't mind a bit of DIY. If you're into saving the planet without sacrificing your inner child, quadricycles are worth a look, but check local regulations—they can be a law unto themselves.
