queensland l test Page 8

In Queensland, the L test is a road-rules exam you can do via PrepL (the online course) or sit the written test at a transport customer service centre.

You must be at least 16, provide proof of identity, and pass the test before a learner licence is issued.

PrepL is interactive and self-paced at home; the written version is a straightforward multiple‑choice session in person.

Once you’ve got your Ls, you’ll log supervised driving hours (more if you’re under 25), then book the practical test when you’re ready.

Check the latest requirements with Queensland Transport before you rock up—nothing ruins a day like missing paperwork.
