queensland p plate restrictions Page 6

Ah, the joys of being a P-plater in Queensland—a rite of passage involving more rules than a bureaucrat's diary. Once you snag your provisional licence, you’re slapped with some strict restrictions to keep you semi-safe on the roads.

• Speed limit: You must not exceed 90 km/h.
• Passenger restrictions: If you're under 25, only one passenger under 21 between 11pm and 5am.
• Zero alcohol: Absolutely no blood alcohol content allowed.
• Display: You must display red P plates clearly.

These rules are designed to keep inexperienced drivers from turning the roads into demolition derbies. For the full legal spiel, check the official Queensland government website or ServiceCentral.
