queensland vehicle registration transfer Page 34

Transferring vehicle registration in Queensland is about as thrilling as watching paint dry, but here’s the gist. When you sell or buy a car, the registration must be transferred within 14 days to avoid fines. You'll need the registration transfer form, proof of identity, and the vehicle's current registration papers. The cost generally runs around $38, plus any outstanding fees or fines. You can do this online through the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads or in person at a service centre. Remember, the odometer reading is also required to keep things honest. For the nitty-gritty, check the official Queensland government site or perhaps ServiceCentral for guidance.
