quietest tyres in australia Page 4

Chasing the quietest tyres in Australia? Save your ears by looking for touring rubber with closed shoulder blocks and softer compounds—performance treads are about grip and glory, not hush.

Models consistently praised for low road noise include Michelin Primacy 4+, Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus/T005A, Goodyear Assurance ComfortTred and Continental UltraContact/PremiumContact, provided you pick the right size.

Check the EU noise rating where listed—lower dB and fewer sound waves = quieter—and keep pressures set correctly, because underinflation turns any tyre into a drum kit.

Also, narrower widths, taller sidewalls and fresh tyres (not hard, old stock) help; then test on familiar roads, because Aussie chip-seal can make a church mouse sound like a didgeridoo.
