rain code review Page 31

“Master Detective Archives: Rain Code” is a stylish murder‑mystery romp that blends neon‑noir flair with gloriously bonkers set pieces.

The Mystery Labyrinth trials are inventive, with smart logic puzzles and a cheeky Reasoning Death Match that rewards paying attention over button‑mashing.

Performance on Switch can wobble—long loads and the odd frame dip—but the art direction and soundtrack do plenty of heavy lifting when the pace sags.

Expect roughly 25–35 hours, sharp character writing, and some backtracking that feels like being stuck in a storm drain with a leaky umbrella.

If you loved Danganronpa’s melodrama and twisty cases, this will hit the spot; if you crave ruthless pacing and total freedom, maybe not.

Verdict: clever, theatrical, occasionally creaky—like a magic show in a downpour.
