remove personalised plates qld Page 10

Removing personalised plates in Queensland is like breaking up with a clingy ex—you need to do it properly to avoid drama. First, you must surrender the plates to the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR). You can either return them in person at a TMR customer service centre or by mail. Keep in mind, if you plan to keep the personalised combination for future use, you might want to transfer or store it, otherwise, it could be reassigned.

Fees apply for the cancellation or transfer process, so check the latest charges on the official TMR website or at ServiceCentral. And remember, don’t just stick those plates in the glove box and hope for the best; driving with unregistered plates is a ticket to a hefty fine.
