Most reverse cameras need three simple hookups: power from the reverse light circuit, a solid ground, and a video feed to the head unit. Use a multimeter to tap the positive wire that goes live only in reverse, add an inline fuse, and avoid Scotch-lock bodges like your dignity depends on it (it does). Run a shielded RCA video cable to the head unit and connect the purple/white “reverse trigger” wire so the screen flips on when you select R. On CAN-bus-heavy cars, consider an interface harness or camera adapter rather than butchering factory looms.
