Its 2.2‑litre turbo‑diesel, 8‑speed auto and proper 4x4 with low range deliver relaxed cruising and stout towing (up to 3,500 kg braked). Ride quality is comfy on the highway, a touch fidgety unladen around town, and the engine’s more brawn than brisk—fair trade for touring. Inside, space is generous up front, the third row is kid-sized, and the infotainment is functional with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

Safety kit is respectable (AEB, lane-keep and friends), and the long warranty sweetens the value play in Australia. Downsides? The badge lacks cachet and the dealer network’s smaller, but your wallet will be too busy smiling to care.
