road worthy certificate wa Page 2

Ah, the elusive Roadworthy Certificate in Western Australia—your golden ticket to proving your car isn’t a rolling death trap. In WA, it’s officially called a Safety Inspection Certificate, required mainly for transferring registration or after major repairs. The inspection covers brakes, tyres, lights, steering, suspension, and seatbelts. Prices vary, typically around $40 to $70 AUD, depending on the garage. Beware: a dodgy inspection can lead to fails, leaving you to fix whatever rust bucket issues pop up. For used cars or quick checks, sites like Tradingpost and CarShowroom can clue you in on local requirements.
