roadworthy requirements qld Page 4

Ah, Queensland's roadworthy requirements—because driving on dodgy brakes and bald tyres is only fun in the movies. To get your vehicle roadworthy, you must ensure all safety features are in working order: brakes, tyres, lights, steering, and suspension must pass muster. The vehicle should have no major rust or structural damage, and the horn and seatbelts have to work like a charm. Queensland's Department of Transport mandates a safety certificate for used vehicle sales, which you can get from authorized inspection stations. Costs typically range from $40 to $70 AUD, depending on the vehicle. If you want to avoid roadside embarrassment, hit up ServiceCentral or CarShowroom for more details.
