rules for red p platers qld Page 9

Ah, the infamous Red P plates in Queensland—those bright little badges of both pride and terror for novice drivers. If you're sporting these fiery badges, you must adhere to a zero blood alcohol limit and stick to a maximum speed of 90 km/h, unless the road limit is lower. You're banned from towing and must not use any mobile devices, even hands-free, because apparently, distractions are the enemy of survival. Your P plates must be clearly displayed front and back. Also, keep in mind that these conditions stick around for at least 12 months before you can graduate to the green P plates. For the nitty-gritty and any updates, check the official Queensland government transport site or have a squiz at ServiceCentral for compliance tips.
