s5000 engine Page 417

The S5000 runs a purpose-built, race-spec V8 based on the Ford Coyote architecture—simple, loud, and entirely bad for self-restraint. Expect 5.0 litres, naturally aspirated, around 420 kW (≈560 hp), and roughly 600 Nm, with a dry-sump setup and a rev ceiling in the high-7s. Management is via a motorsport ECU and the whole package is designed for reliability over an entire race weekend, not just dyno bragging rights. It’s the spiritual successor to F5000 thunder, minus the carbies and plus modern manners. Consult official documentation for exact figures.
