seatbelt fine victoria Page 8

In Victoria, neglecting to wear a seatbelt can cost you a pretty penny, with fines typically around $330 AUD and you might also snag some demerit points on your license—usually 3 points. The law is crystal clear: everyone in the vehicle must be buckled up, or the driver faces the music. Repeat offenders or situations involving unrestrained kids can see penalties escalate. If you want to dodge this roadside wallet hemorrhage, do yourself a favour and click that belt into place every single time.
