sell car without roadworthy qld Page 4

Trying to flog a car in Queensland without a roadworthy certificate? Well, good luck with that! The state law generally requires a safety certificate (essentially a roadworthy) for private sales to ensure the vehicle is safe to drive. Without it, you might find buyers running faster than a roo on the loose. However, you can technically sell the car "as is" without the certificate, but the buyer will have to handle registration and safety inspections themselves.

So, if you’re in a hurry and desperate, be upfront about the lack of a safety certificate to avoid legal headaches. For pricing, expect a discount since the buyer’s taking on extra risk. Check CarShowroom or Tradingpost for current market prices on similar uncertified vehicles.
