sell my home privately Page 2

Selling your home privately in Australia means dodging the real estate agent’s cut, but brace yourself: it’s a wild ride of paperwork, pricing guesswork, and endless viewings. You’ll need to master marketing your property on platforms like Tradingpost or CarShowroom (yes, they list homes too, oddly enough). Don’t forget the legal mumbo jumbo—contracts, disclosures, and inspections are your new best mates.

Pros: Save thousands on agent fees, full control over the sale process.

Cons: Time-consuming, risk of undervaluing your property, potential legal pitfalls.

Consult a solicitor or conveyancer to avoid turning your private sale into a private nightmare.
