sell my home privately online Page 4

Yes, you can sell your home privately online in Australia—no agent, no glossy suit, just you and a decent Wi‑Fi connection. Start by researching recent local sales to set a realistic price, then craft sharp photos and a floorplan so buyers don’t need X‑ray vision. List via private‑sale platforms and marketplaces (Tradingpost included) to get eyeballs, and write an honest description that answers the obvious questions before they’re asked.

Screen enquiries, schedule inspections, and keep a log—look professional even if the dog’s doing laps behind the camera. Engage a licensed conveyancer or solicitor early to prepare the contract of sale and required disclosures; rules vary by state, so follow them to the letter. When you accept an offer, pay the deposit into a trust account via your conveyancer, confirm settlement timelines, and stick to the paperwork like glue; it’s dull, but it’s how you keep the champagne cold.
