selling car in queensland Page 2

So, you're keen to part ways with your trusty steed in Queensland? First off, you’ll want to transfer the vehicle registration to the new owner via the Department of Transport and Main Roads—no dodging that bureaucratic bullet. Expect to provide a completed transfer form, proof of ownership, and payment of a transfer fee around $33.35 AUD. If your car is less than five years old, you might also need a safety certificate (roadworthy). Listing your car on sites like Tradingpost or CarShowroom can speed up the sale, but brace for haggling and tyre-kickers. Lastly, make sure to notify your insurer and cancel your registration to avoid any future surprises.
