SEMA 2022 was Las Vegas’ annual love letter to aftermarket excess—think utes taller than your shed and hatchbacks lower than common sense.

It’s a trade-only show, so it’s mostly builders, brands and media poking bonnets and swapping business cards while your Instagram melts.

Big themes: EV swaps getting serious, off-road rigs with enough light bars to be seen from Perth, and paint so glossy a magpie would file a complaint.

If you’re in Australia, it’s less “pop in for a browse” and more “follow the firehose of coverage,” with public show-and-shine moments usually spilling onto the streets.
