shiba dog

The Shiba Inu is a small to medium breed from Japan, known for its fox-like appearance and spirited personality. They typically weigh around 8 to 10 kg and stand about 35 to 43 cm tall. Shibas are independent and can be a bit stubborn, but they're fiercely loyal and make excellent watchdogs. Common issues include

• Shedding—prepare for a fur storm
• Escape artists—fencing must be secure
• Socialisation needs to avoid aggression

Expect to pay roughly $1500 to $3500 AUD for a pup, depending on breeder and lineage. For finding breeders or adopting, try PuppyList or ServiceCentral. Always check official breed guides to ensure this fiery little beast fits your lifestyle.
