The Spotify Car Thing is a quirky little gadget designed to bring Spotify's streaming magic to your car without the fuss of a smartphone screen. It’s a compact controller that connects via Bluetooth or USB to your phone and car stereo, letting you skip tracks, browse playlists, and control your tunes with a few tactile buttons and a small display.

Key specs: small 4-inch touchscreen, voice control, physical buttons, Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C port. It doesn’t stream music on its own, so you’ll need your phone nearby.

New units are rare in Australia, so prices on places like Tradingpost or CarShowroom can vary, usually between $100-$150 AUD used. It’s a niche gadget for Spotify loyalists who find phone interfaces in cars a pain.

For official details, check Spotify’s documentation. Otherwise, expect a slightly retro but functional way to boss your playlists.
