The Springbrook Natural Bridge walk is an easy sealed circuit of about 1 km that loops through rainforest to a waterfall plunging into a cave—nature’s own skylight.
Allow 20–45 minutes depending on how many photos you inflict on your friends, and expect steps, handrails, and damp patches that make thongs a bad idea. The day-use area is generally open during daylight hours (typically 7am–6pm) to protect glow-worms, with toilets and parking at the trailhead. Swimming in the cave is off-limits, and torches at night should be red-filtered to avoid blinding the locals with tails. Go by day for the falls, or join a licensed night tour for glow-worms; either way, leave no rubbish and keep the noise down. It’s short, stunning, and you’ll still have time for a pie on the way home.
