subaru xv 2022 review Page 3

The 2022 Subaru XV is the small SUV for people who think kerbs are merely suggestions. Subaru’s symmetrical AWD gives it confident grip on wet roads and gravel, and the ride is comfy enough to survive Sydney potholes with your coffee intact. The 2.0‑litre flat‑four and CVT are steady rather than speedy, but it’s quiet, predictable and happy to chug through traffic all day. Inside you get durable materials, easy ergonomics and proper driver aids; the infotainment is fine, just not cutting-edge. Practicality is decent for passengers, though the boot is on the small side for a “family” badge. If you want a city-friendly SUV that can actually handle a dirt road on the weekend, the XV still makes a very rational case—hardly glamorous, but it gets the job done.
