subaru xv review 2022 Page 2

The 2022 Subaru XV is the small SUV that packs hiking boots and a sensible hat. Standard AWD and a CVT make it easy-going rather than exciting, but the ride is comfy and that 220 mm clearance laughs off kerbs and corrugations. The cabin is well screwed together with CarPlay/Android Auto and EyeSight safety, though the boot is on the tight side and the 2.0-litre engine can sound a bit breathless when asked to hurry. Expect real-world economy in the high-6s to low-7s L/100km for petrol, a smidge lower for the e-Boxer hybrid. Back in the day it listed from around the low-$30Ks to low-$40Ks before on-roads; used 2022 examples now typically land around $25–35k depending on trim and kilometres.
