Everyone’s whispering about a “Supra Mk6”, but as of today it doesn’t exist; the current car is the fifth-gen A90/A91.
Toyota hasn’t announced a sixth-gen, so anything you’ve seen is rumour, renders and wishful thinking with a wing.
If you’re shopping Supra now, it’s the Mk5 with BMW bones, a 3.0-litre turbo straight-six, rear-drive, and either manual or auto.
It goes like a scalded cat and handles properly—apologies in advance to your rear tyres and your neighbours.
If a Mk6 ever appears, expect some electrification and more safety beeps than a truck reversing down George Street.
Until then, buy the Mk5 you can drive, or keep refreshing the news and pretending patience is a virtue.
