sway warning toyota meaning Page 4

In a Toyota, “Sway Warning” is your car politely hinting you’re weaving like a shopping trolley—part of Toyota Safety Sense’s Lane Departure Alert. It watches lane markings and steering inputs, and if you meander too much (often at highway speeds), up pops the friendly coffee cup suggesting a break. It’s about driver fatigue or inattention, not a fault with traction or trailer sway control. If it keeps nagging, check road conditions, your speed, and your focus—and maybe grab a servo pie and a stretch.

You can usually tweak sensitivity or switch it off in the LDA settings, but the smarter play is to heed the nudge. Consider it the automotive equivalent of a raised eyebrow.
