targa car Page 9

Ah, the Targa car—a splendid blend of coupe rigidity and convertible freedom. Essentially, a Targa top is a semi-convertible body style with a removable roof section and a full-width roll bar behind the seats. Porsche popularised this design with the iconic 911 Targa, offering a bit of open-air frivolity without the full structural compromises of a ragtop.

Key specs typically include a removable roof panel, fixed rollover bar, and often rear or all-wheel drive, but it varies by model. Prices for Targa models like the Porsche 911 Targa start around $150,000 AUD new, with used examples available from about $70,000 AUD, depending on age and condition.
