tesla car battery replacement cost australia Page 7

Replacing a Tesla battery in Australia isn’t pocket change; think major-appliance money with a side of labour.

Expect a new genuine pack to land roughly between $15,000–$30,000 (Model 3/Y at the lower end; S/X higher), plus $1,500–$3,500 for labour and consumables.

Reconditioned or used packs can trim that to about $8,000–$15,000, but warranties and long-term capacity are a mixed bag.

If your car’s still under Tesla’s battery warranty (8 years and roughly 160,000–240,000 km depending on model, with at least 70% capacity), you may pay nothing for eligible faults.

Prices swing with model, pack size, shipping and whether you use Tesla service or a specialist—always get a written quote before anyone touches a high-voltage bolt.
