tesla model 3 standard vs long range

In Australia, the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range (RWD) and Long Range (AWD) wear the same sharp suit but have different agendas.

Here’s the cheat sheet—no fanboy nonsense.

• Pros: lower entry price; lighter; thriftier in city driving
• Cons: less range and performance; no AWD traction

• Pros: longer range; quicker acceleration; AWD grip
• Cons: higher purchase price; heavier; potentially pricier tyres/insurance

The RWD is kinder on the budget and lighter; the AWD goes further and faster, with extra grip when the weather sulks.

Choose based on how often you road‑trip and how much you value pace and traction over thrift.
